 Boeing Image EDWARDS, Calif., Oct. 27, 2006 -- In cooperation with NASA and the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory, Boeing [NYSE: BA] Phantom Works soon will begin ground testing of its X-48B Blended Wing Body (BWB) concept in preparation for flight testing early next year. The X-48B ground and flight testing will take place at NASA's Dryden Flight Research Center at Edwards Air Force Base in California, where two high-fidelity 21-foot wingspan prototypes have been delivered. |

ANA launched the 767-300BCF passenger-to-freighter conversion program in October 2005 with an order for three conversions and four options. Now the airline holds a total of five firm orders and two options. |

For this modification, Boeing managed every aspect of the conversion process from contract signing, design and production through redelivery. Boeing hired Taikoo (Xiamen) Aircraft Engineering Co., Ltd. (TAECO) in Xiamen, China, to perform the hands-on modification work on this airplane. |

 Boeing Image EVERETT, Wash, Oct. 23, 2006 -- Boeing (NYSE: BA) opened and closed the swing tail for the 747-400 Large Cargo Freighter for the first time Oct. 10. The 747 LCF is currently at the Boeing Everett factory for tests on the swing tail, a major modification to the airplane that allows large pieces to be loaded and unloaded from the back of the airplane. These tests are the first time the LCF swing tail has opened. |

 Boeing Image SEATTLE, Oct. 17, 2006 -- Boeing [NYSE: BA] today announced that Guggenheim Aviation Partners, LLC (GAP), the U.S.-based aviation investment firm, acting on behalf of one of its investment funds, has ordered four 747-8 Freighters, with an option to order an additional two airplanes. At list prices, the order is valued at approximately $1.12 billion. Delivery of the 747-8 Freighters will begin in 2009. These airplanes were added to the Boeing Orders and Deliveries Web site on Oct. 5, attributed to an unidentified customer. |
