 Boeing Image SEATTLE, Sept. 21, 2006 -- The Boeing Company [NYSE: BA] today delivered a 737-800 to CR Airways, marking the first direct delivery of a Boeing Next-Generation 737 to a Hong Kong-based carrier. CR Airways, which is already the first Hong Kong-based airline to operate the Boeing Next-Generation 737-800, is using the new airplane to open a new route between Hong Kong and Tianjin on Sept. 25, marking its maiden flight. This airplane is the third 737-800 in the CR Airways' fleet. |

 Boeing Photo FREDERICKSON, Wash., Sept. 19, 2006 -- Fabrication of the first composite stringers for the 787 vertical fin, Boeing's all new commercial airplane, began Sept. 13 at the Composite Manufacturing Center (CMC) at Boeing Frederickson in Pierce County, Wash. The vertical fin is the largest major Boeing 787 Dreamliner assembly built by an internal Boeing supplier. CMC plans to deliver its first fully functional vertical fin to 787 Final Assembly in Everett, Wash., in Spring 2007. |

 Boeing Image SEATTLE, Sept. 14, 2006 -- The Boeing Company [NYSE: BA] today confirmed Hainan Airlines' order for 15 Boeing Next-Generation 737 airplanes, completing a 150-airplane order by the China Aviation Supplies Import and Export Group.Air China, China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Shandong Airlines, Shanghai Airlines, Shenzhen Airlines and Xiamen Airlines earlier this year placed orders for 65 Boeing Next-Generation 737s that were identified on Boeing's Orders and Deliveries Web site in August.

 Boeing Photo SEATTLE, Sept. 12, 2006 -- The Boeing Company [NYSE: BA] and Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings today announced the carrier has ordered 12 747-8 Freighters, making Atlas the North American launch customer for the airplane. At list prices, the order is valued at about $3.4 billion. Atlas will begin taking delivery of the airplanes in 2010 and expects all 12 aircraft to be in service by the end of 2011. "With this order, Atlas Air remains the leader in providing the capacity and operational flexibility required by our air cargo customers using the state-of-the art freighter platform," said William J. Flynn, president and CEO of Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings. |

 Airbus 12 September 2006 -- Qatar Airways' first A340-600 higher gross weight, which landed in Doha 11 September is the first aircraft to display the airline's new livery. It is also the first to offer a number of innovative cabin features.
Chief among them is a 12-square-metre lounge and meeting area, the first of its type ever installed on a revenue-earning aircraft. Electro-magnetic window blinds, fitted between two panes of window glass and which glide noiselessly up and down at the touch of a button, have been fitted in the windows of this lounge and the first class cabin. |
